Marilyn Floyde's King Arthur

I’ll be honest, Marilyn had me at “King Arthur”. The second edition print of this bestseller called for a full cover redesign.

Part of the brief was to incorporate Arthurian symbolism into the design: the scorpion, the honeybee, the cockleshell and, of course, Excalibur, all make an appearance.

I was also inspired by book design in the Arts & Crafts movement, specifically William Morris and his attraction to the Neo-Gothic style.
